CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test for Operatives (CSCS Exam)

Students can now complete the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test for Operatives at the college. This test is required for anyone applying for the CSCS Green Card, which allows access to UK construction sites as a non-skilled worker.

Please note: In addition to passing the CITB test, you must also hold a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment before applying for the CSCS Green Card.

What the Test Covers

The Operatives test assesses knowledge in five key areas:

·         Working Environment

·         Occupational Health

·         Safety

·         High Risk Activities

·         Specialist Topics

All candidates are expected to revise before taking the test. The official CITB H&S OPP/SPEC revision app is strongly recommended and is available via mobile app stores (£7).

Costs

·         CITB Test (including one free resit): £70

·         Additional resits: £50 each

·         CSCS card application (college administration – optional): £50
